food for the season (Lenten Season that is)

This is that time of year when we don't feast on food but fast instead. No meat, and less eating talaga.

Here's what we had on a Maundy Thursday!

Ginataan Halo-halo

Pako Salad : fresh pako or ferns (from Baler)
blanched in boiled water, tomatoes, onions, itlog na maalat,
tinapa
or fish, and fish sauce.
